Hi! My name is Billie and I’ve been singing and performing since I was a small kid. I love the way that children express themselves through music and their bodies, and working to support and encourage them is my passion. As a neurodiverse person I understand how scary it can be to start something as big and loud as singing – as a child or an adult – and it means the world to me to help you or your child build knowledge and confidence in your voice and body. Learning singing is not just about the joy of music, it’s also an embodied practise that can help you flourish in all parts of life. I pride myself on being a neuroaffirming, body positive, student-first teacher.

I’ve studied and performed for the past decade. These are my highlights and qualifications:

• Masters of Music Performance @ Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, UK

• Bachelor of Music (Honours) @ Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (University of Melbourne)

• Performed at the Sydney Opera House, the Adelaide Festival and with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra

• Finalist of the Australian Singing Competition, National Liederfest, Ringwood Aria and the Bettine McCaughan Scholarship, recipient of the Rae and Edith Bennett Scholarship and the Ian Potter Cultural Trust Grant

• Premiered diverse music by women in Australia, singing in over a dozen languages

I teach in-home, which means I will come to you for your lessons (unless otherwise arranged). I’m based in the Dandenong Ranges and teach in a 15/20km radius from Belgrave, VIC, but if you are elsewhere in the South or East please reach out and I might be able to accomodate you!

For new students who are children I offer a FREE 30 MIN IN-HOME CHAT and a 20 min phone call/zoom for adults so I can meet you/your child and discuss where to begin.
